Anthropic is in talks to bring Nvidia in as an anchor investor for what could be a record initial public offering, two people familiar with the matter told Reuters. The company is seeking to raise as much as $100 billion at a valuation around $2 trillion, those two sources said. Nvidia is considering investing up to $10 billion in the IPO, one of the sources added. Plans remain under discussion and could change.
The listing is expected to complete before the November U.S. midterm elections, Reuters reported, a timing that remains discussed rather than filed. Anthropic declined to comment and Nvidia did not immediately respond, leaving the talks unconfirmed by the companies.
Bloomberg and Channel NewsAsia amplified the Reuters exclusive on the ceilings. The $100 billion raise and about $2 trillion valuation are two-source figures; the Nvidia up-to-$10 billion stake is labeled one-source. These are talks and ceilings only, not a priced IPO or a firm Nvidia commitment.
