Cybersecurity company Island has raised $400 million in a Series F financing round that values the company at $6.4 billion, reflecting growing investor demand for security technology designed for increasingly AI-driven workplaces.
The valuation is more than 30% above Island’s $4.8 billion valuation in a 2025 financing round. The latest investment was led by Evolution Equity Partners, with participation from existing investors including Sequoia Capital, Coatue Management and J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners.
Island began with an enterprise browser designed to give organizations greater control over how employees access corporate applications and information. Its platform has expanded into data protection, network access and security controls for human and automated workflows.
That positioning has become more important as companies deploy AI agents capable of interacting with corporate systems, data and external services.
Island said the financing will support further growth and product development. The company employs about 1,000 people and says its annual recurring revenue has doubled in every fiscal year since its 2022 launch.
The funding round illustrates an important second-order effect of the AI investment boom: as companies automate more work, spending is also increasing on the security and governance infrastructure required to control those systems.
