Hewlett Packard Enterprise shares surged in Friday cash trading as investors read Oracle’s elevated artificial intelligence and data-center capital spending outlook into server and networking names. A CNBC real-time stamp as of 3:10 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time put HPE at $61.19, up $5.97 or 10.80% from a prior close of $55.22. Session high was $61.84; that high is not the last print. Motley Fool midday had HPE up 10.97% as of 11:31 a.m. Eastern Time, an earlier stamp labeled separately.

Oracle Chief Financial Officer Hilary Maxson, on the company’s fiscal first-quarter earnings call, said Oracle continues to anticipate $90 billion to $95 billion in CapEx for the full year, with not more than $70 billion in net cash CapEx. That CapEx band is call language, distinct from Oracle’s investor-relations full-year revenue guide of at least $90 billion. The move is hardware sympathy tape, not an HPE earnings reprint.

Sources: CNBC HPE quote (as of 3:10 p.m. EDT: $61.19 +10.80%); Motley Fool midday (HPE +10.97% as of 11:31 a.m. ET); Oracle Q1 FY27 earnings call, Hilary Maxson (CapEx $90B to $95B; net cash CapEx not more than $70B); Oracle IR PR (revenue at least $90B, labeled separate).
