Crude futures posted official Thursday settles well above $100 a barrel as dual chokepoint supply risks kept energy markets bid into the close. NYMEX West Texas Intermediate October crude settled at $102.48 a barrel, up $6.43, or about 6.70%, after a session high of $103.06, according to DTN settle tables. ICE Brent November settled at $107.63, up $6.42, or about 6.3%, after a high of $108.42.
Those figures are end-of-day exchange settles, not live lasts and not the session highs. A session high is not the settle. The package updates earlier intraday threshold coverage with locked official marks rather than rewriting the same threshold story.
Optional color: NYMEX ultra-low sulfur diesel October settled at $5.0575 a gallon, up $0.2565, or 5.34%, with a session high of $5.0782. Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb friction remain supply backdrop, not a fresh kinetic exclusive here. Friday’s IEA figures are calendar only until released.
