Asian equities opened lower Thursday as Brent’s move through $100 and overnight U.S. losses set a risk-off tone ahead of the ECB decision day and U.S. producer-price data, Money and Banking and Yonhap Infomax said. This package is an Asia open and early-session wrap only. It is not a U.S. cash-close story and does not invent ECB rate outcomes or PPI prints still ahead of this cadence window.

Money and Banking put the Nikkei 225 open at 64,768.53, down 374.25 points, or 0.57%. Infomax’s early Tokyo print near 09:16 JST was 64,779.65, down 0.56%. The Hang Seng opened at 24,985.18, down 289.78 points, or 1.14%; a same-session China Daily close of 24,954.47, down 1.27%, is refresh color only, not the open lede. The Shanghai Composite opened at 3,939.09, down 0.31%. Early color also showed KOSPI down about 0.24% and the S&P/ASX 200 down about 1.36%. Drivers cited include Middle East supply risk, higher U.S. yields, and the Thursday PPI / Friday CPI calendar.
