India’s National Stock Exchange set a price band of 1,700-1,785 rupees a share for its initial public offer, a public filing showed. The deal is an offer for sale of up to 126,436,650 equity shares of face value 1 rupee each, or about 12.64 crore shares. NSE is not selling new shares and will not receive proceeds; funds go to selling shareholders.
Anchor bids are set for Wednesday, Sep 16. Public subscription opens Thursday, Sep 17, and closes Monday, Sep 21. Listing is expected on or about Sep 24 on the BSE, with in-principle approval already received. At the upper band, the issue is about $2.36 billion with an implied valuation near $46.3 billion, Reuters reported; rupee size prints round near 22,560-22,570 crore across desks.
Face value is 1 rupee; the offer was cut more than 15% from an earlier plan of about 148.91 million shares. U.S. and India cash markets are closed Saturday; no Monday Asia open is invented.
