Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Arab foreign ministers will meet in Muscat on Monday to sign an agreement establishing a joint Iran-Oman shipping route through the Strait of Hormuz and notify the International Maritime Organization, Anadolu Agency and Iran International reported from an India Today interview.

A senior Iranian official told Reuters, in an Al-Monitor reprint, that Monday’s Oman meeting will discuss Hormuz and other regional issues but is not expected to yield a signed agreement. That discuss-and-caveat line must be read beside Pezeshkian’s sign claim. Oman has not officially announced the meeting, Anadolu and Reuters peers said.

Bahrain will not attend until diplomatic ties with Iran are restored, Arab News reported. Venue remains unresolved: Pezeshkian and Anadolu point to Muscat, while prior Salalah reporting on temporary Hormuz talks still stands. A temporary corridor talk is not a full Hormuz reopen, and no deal is signed.

Sources: Anadolu Agency (Pezeshkian Muscat sign + IMO; Oman no immediate confirm); Iran International (same Pezeshkian claim); Al-Monitor / Reuters (senior official: discuss; no signed agreement expected; Oman unannounced; Bahrain skip); Arab News (Bahrain will not attend); prior Salalah temporary-talks coverage (venue side B).
