Nvidia-Backed Nscale Files for U.S. IPO as AI Infrastructure Spending Accelerates

Nscale has filed for a U.S. initial public offering, giving investors a closer look at the enormous capital requirements—and rapidly growing revenues—behind the artificial-intelligence infrastructure boom.

The British AI-cloud and data-center company filed to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker NSCL. Nscale has attracted backing from Nvidia and is building large-scale computing infrastructure designed to support AI developers, hyperscalers and enterprise customers.

The company’s financials highlight both the opportunity and the risk. Revenue surged to about $140.6 million in the first half of 2026, while Nscale also reported a net loss of roughly $1.02 billion. Its largest customer accounted for about 52% of first-half revenue, underscoring the concentration risk that comes with rapid expansion.

Nscale is part of a broader race to build the data centers, power capacity and GPU infrastructure required by increasingly demanding AI models. That buildout has attracted billions of dollars from technology companies and investors betting that demand for computing capacity will continue rising.

The IPO could become an important test for the AI infrastructure trade. Investors will be watching whether Nscale’s rapid revenue growth can eventually support the heavy spending, financing requirements and operational scale needed to compete in the global AI-compute market.

The central question is no longer whether demand for AI infrastructure exists. It is whether companies building that infrastructure can turn extraordinary demand into sustainable returns.
