Marvell Technology has raised its fiscal 2028 revenue forecast to approximately $20 billion as demand for custom artificial-intelligence chips and data-center connectivity continues to accelerate.
The new target is up from the company’s previous forecast of about $18 billion and exceeds the roughly $18.2 billion expected by analysts surveyed by LSEG.
Marvell also introduced a much longer-range target, forecasting fiscal 2031 revenue of between $70 billion and $90 billion.
The scale of the forecast highlights the growing role of custom silicon in the AI infrastructure market.
Large technology companies are increasingly designing specialized processors optimized for their own data centers, creating a market alongside the general-purpose accelerators that currently dominate AI computing.
Marvell has positioned itself as a design and connectivity partner for hyperscale cloud companies pursuing those internal chip programs.
The company disclosed an agreement with Google in August that could generate as much as $120 billion in sales through fiscal 2033 if performance milestones are achieved.
The projections remain long-term management targets rather than guaranteed revenue. Execution will depend on customers successfully deploying the chips, Marvell meeting technical milestones and AI infrastructure spending remaining strong.
For investors, the important development is the scale of the opportunity management now sees: Marvell is presenting artificial intelligence as a potential foundation for a dramatically larger business by the beginning of the next decade.
